Bayern Munich are chasing Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Sport says Bayern are keen to bring Ter Stegen in next summer, 2021, as Manuel Neuer’s replacement. For now, talks between Bayern and Neuer over a new deal have stalled.
Bayern and Neuer at odds over the length of the contract on offer, with the German club adhering to a policy that prevents them from offering long-term deals to players over the age of 30.
Neuer’s deal runs until 2021 and they have only offered him an additional year, until 2022.
The German champions feel the best possible replacement would be Barça’s Ter Stegen. He will be Neuer’s replacement in the German national team and he’s their top target, although Ter Stegen’s preference is to stay at Barça.
